For example, collect data from students in your class on whether or not they have a curfew on school nights and whether or not they have assigned chores at home. Is there evidence that those who have a curfew also tend to have chores?

Standard 8.SP.4 is about how we use two way tables, and frequency tables for summarizing, and organizing data. In the two way tables I need to understand the patterns, and the differences. The standard relates to the assignment because I had to survey people and see the variety of the people and their favorite social media. We had to summarize the data and put it into a two way table.
2. What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
I first filled out my worksheet for my project by surveying different people outside of my math class. After I got all the information I needed, I completed the worksheet for the project. Then, I got all my materials and put my information on a different sheet of paper more neatly, and glued it onto my poster. I basically just copied and pasted everything onto a bigger sheet of paper, and glued it onto the board. Later, my poster felt empty so I drew and cut out my favorite social medias like instagram, snapchat, and facebook. After, I wrote a 5 paragraph essay about my project answering the questions for the project. When I was done I turned in the project as long as the essay and I got it back several days later. I got a 99/100 because I didn't answer why in my essay.

This assignment shows that I know how to be social and ask other people questions by surveying them. This project shows that I know how to make two way tables, and solve two way frequency tables. This project also shows that I know how to answer questions about my project and two way tables, and explain how and why. This project shows I can be artistic when designing my poster because I decorate it.

I could have improved my work on this assignment by surveying more variety of people. I surveyed mostly students at RKMS and most of them liked instagram. I could have done better by surveying more adults, or kids younger. An another thing I could have improved on is answering the question why more thoroughly because I got a point taken away due to that answer
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I can use this skill in the future if I am taking a survey for something. It will be easier for me to determine what kind of person likes what depending on their age, or gender. I can also use this skill if I am comparing more than one thing because I will have the information and I can put it into the tables and compare the thing. Lastly, I can use the skill of explaining in many different ways and reasons because I will know how to explain what I did and why.
